Between Uesen and Baden at the Weser's steep slope near the confluence of the old river Aller is the modern conference house Hünenburg situated.

The old noble art-deco villa is situated amidst a historical circular city wall. This city wall was built in the 11th-century and has been preserved in most parts till today.

The facility itself is, compered with similar facilities relatively small. The interior room encompasses circa 85m x 35m. It is enclosed by a 20m – 25m wide and 2 – 4m high wall, around which runs a 20m wide and 2,5m deep moat. It is highly probably that the wall was built completely with the moat excavated soil. On the top of the ringfort was probably one the fortified entrance gate.

Around 1400 according to the legend the famous notorious pirate Claus Störtebeker used Hünenburg as cover for his ships. It is told that Störtebeker put his masts below the Hünenburg (at the later oil harbour) and used the thick trees and groynes as hideout. As if that is not enough the rumour has it that Störtebeker was a (Achim-)Badener. It was speculated at that time that Nicolaus von Baden Claus was Störtebeker. Then after Störtebeker was beheaded in Hamburg, Nicolaus von Baden was never seen again and his estate was sold by his mother.
