The Kirchlintler journey guide - region's beauty

In the city triangle Hanover, Hamburg and Bremen are the rural district Verden (VER), Rotenburg (ROW) and Soltau-Fallingbostel (SFA) situated.

Many, many years ago the last Ice Age has formed here a shaped landscape with rolling hills and wide valleys. The Geest, a landscape with diverse faces. Expansive heathland, high moors, forest and meadows with river and marsh landscapes are represented in tight space.

And something else very typical North German reminds of the Ice Age, the erratic boulders. Giant granite boulders from the Scandinavian mountains. Interspersed like oversized raisins they soar from the mostly sandy ground and have inspired the people's mystic fantasy some thousands of years ago. That the stone witnesses show in nature, at cultural places and oversized gave sites as well as in exhibitions in local museums. This is being rounded off by passed down stories from the region. Some well-known fairytales inspired by the landscape and the citizen's environment have had its origin here.

Diving into this landscape, hear and feel its secrets, which with the tales are seasoned, depicts the charm of the guided Kirchlintler journey tours.
Further information about the guided tours whether by bicycle, on foot or as travel escort through the region are available at the Kirchlintler Radtourenleiter.
